I have been publishing my writings on Associated Content (AC). What makes publishing so valuable is the residual income. Once an article, news, poem, etc. is published, it’s there to make money even when I'm not working. I like this kind of income.
Another enjoyment from writing is freedom of expression. I can write about anything and everything I like. For me, this a good thing because I have several interests.
If you enjoy writing, here is some information for earning money as a freelance writer.
On average, writing is paid on a "per page view" plus performance bonuses where applicable. There are some contests and so forth, but for earnings reliability, page views should be the primary consideration. Because of this:
1.) Think of it as a business that you need to build. Starting with friends and family as your first subscribers, and build on it from there.
2.) Volume will be key for making money off page views. Set goals for how many articles you want to publish in a given time frame.
3.) Make sure to read the information provided on their sites and understand terms such as “exclusive,” “non-exclusive," and “upfront payments.”
You are welcome to add me as a subscriber should you choose to start writing. My email address is pros4success@aol.com Please, notify me, so I will watch for your published articles.
Here are two good writing sites:

Helium, Click Below. One of the good things about Helium is in their "Market Place"where they have a list for paid "call" content.
